Unless they’ve saved a surprise entry by Arja Saijonmaa, this sounds like the only thing that can save this disaster year. I have high hopes. And the less rapping, the better. :disco:

Why is there so many 90s rave references this year, I’m not complaining but it’s seemingly come from nowhere and EVERYWHERE already.
 
Based on the songs I'm Team Windows 95 but obviously here for a 🇫🇮❤️🇪🇪 win too. Also that Sini Sabotage song is a bit of a bop.
 
Konstrakta would gave done great things with a song title like "Vox populi" !
Anyway, I'm rallying behind "Paskana" for the win
 
The Gen Z Eurofans seem to be cancelling everybody this year, but this doesn’t sound great 💀

Well the tattoo was in 2016. But I googled it and he seems to genuinely regret it and is pro-Ukraine and hence covered the tattoo. I would not support someone pro-Putin, though.
 
What a strong collection of songs. 4.5 of these would make fantastic entries.

My ranking:

1. Sara Siipola - Paskana

lyric translation of this really helps connects its power, but if chosen I hope they keep it in Finnish. A HIT and forever keeper for me.

2. Jesse Marlon - Glow

it sounds very ten years ago but there’s enough interesting quirks and structure here to make this a really enjoyable three minutes. verses are as much of a highlight as the chorus

3. Sini Sabotage - Kuori Mua

so much humour and fun that rewards repeat listens. The UMK team have managed to find songs that work both in and out of the Eurovision sphere

4. Cyan Kicks - Dancing with Demons

the presentation of this is very exciting and k-pop whilst also staying true to suomi. at first i was disappointed with the chorus but now I see that I was wrong and I am all for Cyan Kicks adding a bit of WORLD-BEATING POP to the Eurovision stage.

5. Windows95Man - No Rules

Initially my favourite and I am still here for it, but I think I’d be disappointed if the overall quality of the above 4 were beaten out by this. Silly is a great motif for me, with a chorus straight outta Melodifestivalen 2006. What’s not to like?

6. Mikael Gabriel x nublu - Vox populi

I get it, NICE IDEA, don’t mind it, but overall it lands on the side of irritating rather than the punch it’s going for.

7. Sexmane - Mania

I get it, QUESTIONABLE IDEA, don’t love it, and overall it is a boot for me in that I don’t really want to see it again; but the only real flop one out of this line-up.

I assume it's Sara the favourite but Sexmane or Mikael Gabriel/Nublu easily able to snatch a win... Nothing quite sticking out as hugely special this year but strong songs
