ALEX GET OUT.

But seriously, we need an updated thread on these type of covers @Suedey The Mariah ones are instantly ICONIC; that humungous cat!

I like it in that it is the best thing on the album aside from "Goodbye" (which doesn't really count). But it's just so LOW ENERGY, especially for them. If they wanted to go the R&B route with Darkchild, they should've gone something more in the vein of "He Wasn't Man Enough" or "If You Had My Love".

Or Lose My Breath, or FEEDBACK, but this was the early 00's so it was impossible :(

"The Boy is Mine" by the Spice Girls would also have been fierce :disco:

OMG the thought of Mel B wrapping her Yorkshire vowels around The Boy Is Mine! :D

"Yer need ter give it uuuuup
'ad abaaaht enoooooough'

There’s a basic Darkchild song on JLo’s first album that I really loved back in the day and that would have suited the girls (although I love JLo’s nasal vocals).

Ok this just made me want to listen to On the 6. :disco:

Edit: I meant this one:

Was Melanie B the only one who subsequently worked with Darkchild and Jam & Lewis after Forever? I remember Darkchild praising Emma but, maybe she was too white for him to work on something?

They could have thrown a couple of cute bops at her for the debut and maybe Victoria, if she had dropped the whole "cool" attitude, could have kept something that worked in favor of her wafer-thin vocals.
