Neighbours DEAD (again)

I hope it's of Kylie in dungarees, clutching a spanner.
 
As I've said before, I've been watching it for the last six months or so, after Mr L randomly picked it up on it despite not watching it since the Kylie and Jason years.

Perhaps it's just the scripts but there really are some shit actors on it.
 
Is there no hotties in Neighbours anymore? No wonder it’s CANCELLED
 
There's still a bit of eye candy, or else Mr L would never have bothered watching

Not sure why he can't just watch porn like everyone else
 
Having not watched Neighbours since about 1993, I have several observations/queries about that picture:

1) Why is Harold randomly the only character from yesteryear in the photo, or was he back in it permanently at the end?
2) Are there two homosexual couples 2nd row left, 2nd row right?
3) Is that person behind Susan and Karl superimposed in the picture?
4) Lady front row right looks a fun character
5) The set looks incredibly cheap bordering on Crossroads quality.

Harold isn’t the only one. I see Glen Donnelly, Paul Robinson, Des Clarke and Jane Harris.
 
Glen, Paul and Jane are all regular characters. I assume Harold and Des are back for the end.
 
Where is Des? Ive seriously looked at that picture for 5 minutes and I still cant see him.
 
There aren't two homosexual male couples, although confusingly, the guy on the left of the left couple is married to the guy on the right of the right couple. The guy on the right of the left couple however was in a polyamorous relationship with the guy on the left of the right couple, with the blonde woman in pink stood behind Plain Jane Superbrain.

I think the possibly-superimposed guy is Malcolm Kennedy

Apparently dame Natalie Imbruglia has been dropping hints that's she's been back as well, presumably to disapprove of her onscreen son having that 3-way with Amy Greenwood and the hot cop.

I did read that Karl Kennedy had suddenly developed alopecia in real life. They passed it off onscreen that Karl had an accident with some dodgy shampoo

Oh it is, isn't it? He was the one with floppy brown hair when young, wasn't he?

And I think he's actually just doing a Tory power stance. Although when you're stood behind your mum and dad it's a bit wasted. No idea who the younger guy stood next to him is. Or who the two women on the right are.
 
No idea about the guy with the beard behind Paul and Lucy, either.
 
I think younger guy next to Malcolm = Callum (Toadie's adopted son), bearded guy = Chris (gay who had a baby with Lucy)
 
Is Neighbours still MONTHS behind in the UK? Will that tour coincide with the final episodes?

I’m assuming that must have changed when it moved over to channel 5. We were always in line if not slightly ahead in Ireland with both Home and Away and Neighbours and the UK was always quite a good few months behind.
 
I think Ireland is a day behind the UK now, and Australia a few weeks behind. I think I read they are doubling up on episodes in Australia so they catch up.
 
Yep, I think it ends on the same day (1/8) in Australia and UK
 
Holy shit, no way (first I've heard)

Haven't watched it for like 15 years at least but used to be quite into it after school and for a little while after.

Random memories:
Cheryl Stark just randomly walking in as a different actress one day who looked nothing like her, different hair colour and everything, and then some time later just returning to the original actress like nothing ever happened, only to end up killed off shortly after anyway. (and also thinking "random temporary re-casting" was what happened to Dr Crusher in Star Trek, I think based on Neighbours' track record of recasting, back then and not realising Pulaski was a separate character)

The return of Harold after what at my age was half a lifetime

Justifying sharing a NUDE (arse only) once because "it's acceptable, a guy on the intro of Neighbours was bare arsed once" (tell me I'm not the only one who remembers that?!)

Someone spooking one of the Kennedies through the window on I think a Halloween episode and scaring ME as well

Someone, I think Cheryl, getting pregnant and having a miscarriage because supposedly she was too old?! (That piece of "information" about the supposed time limit of safe pregnancy age stuck with me for a while)

Well, this is what we get for not supporting it - definitely want to watch the finale!

Good grief, today's episode was hard work - and the very end surprisingly well done, even if the foreshadowing ahead of it was as subtle as a brick.
