Saturday Night Live

Ari's comic timing, impressions and voices are a delight. she killed it. her monologue was one of my favourites in ages.

omg this week's ep with Michael Keaton hosting was so good across the board, the best of the season so far but it was Sarah Sherman on Weekend Update that really made me LOSE IT

Absolutely superb episode. Everything was good

John Mulaney rarely misses and Chappel was fantastic

The new song of hers seems to be missing from YouTube?

meh episode. 360 perf was horrible. rubbish monologue too. I feel like they just didn't give Charli much to work with so it was a bit one-note. I think I liked the Biden Trump cold open and Please Don't Destroy the best, and Weekend Update.

Post-election I’ve just felt no desire to watch anything current events-y that comes from America. Apparently ratings for CNN, MSNBC etc have tanked as well. I think a large part of the target audience is just kind of… done. Resigned. Checked out.

why was this cut for time?!

good fun. as satire goes this biting take on the French Canadian dialect was a lot sharper than "it girls" including Victoria Beckham (?!)... vamping on a table.

I do wonder if Bowen is too prominent though. some episodes it feels like Heidi and especially Ego barely get a look in, and his sketches can be too niche to land.

I didn't catch yours on YouTube, JArk, but I did catch this one, and it was better than most of what made the final show.

Va Bene, Va Bene Gaga Di WalMart :disco:

Yeah I still don’t understand how that wasn’t aired because a lot of the skits were shit

It's the 50th anniversary show this weekend so there's lots of publicity happening. Including this AD set tour, which is right up my alley:

Just finished episode one of the SNL documentary, Beyond Saturday Night

Really fun and interesting so far
I watched the first episode so far and got halfway through the second which is seemingly only about the More Cowbell sketch. Very ODD to dedicate an entire episode of a 4 part documentary series on a show lasting 50 years, on ONE SKETCH.

Yeah that one was pretty boring, the 4th one too

The auditions and writers room ones were really interesting though

That’s what being a Trump supporter does to you

I saw them live a couple of years ago and he sounded much better than this

GREAT ep. I love how they realised they were on to a winner pairing Bowen with Gaga.

@Jark did you ignore this one because you found it a bit uncomfortable, or
