Just watched this episode and loved it. Did almost every sketch go off the rails?:D I lost it when the wheelchair ran into Bowen.

Dua's episode was a bit of a bust overall but Weekend Update was so funny

maybe I was too harsh, I also laughed a lot at this with Punkie entering scene already breaking

 
Jake is such a beautiful man, no wonder Taylor wrote so many songs about him, what a dreamboat.
 
Jake's ep was just okay, the sketches above were probably the funniest along with LOVELY Marcello on update

I found an amazing IG account that posts daily, even 3-4 times a day, where they post random sketches as well as full musical performances and I just have to share it with you all fellow SNL fans.

I actually have all episodes from seasons 1 to about 45 saved on a hard drive. Torrented them years ago so a lot of the ones from the 80s and early 90s are not in high quality, which I assume NBC’s streaming service offers.

Anyway, if anyone has any particular requests then just ask.

The girl never stood out tbh, hopefully, she's the sole member not returning. I'm surprised about Molly though, they barely have screen time.

I really liked her! she had some pretty funny singing sketches. it's a shame I think!

 
It was obvious she got cast in the season mainly for her singing abilities which she showcased in 90% of the sketches she starred in :disco:

and also Molly! Honestly, no big loss there, for the last two years Punkie's schtick was purely playing POC stereotype characters and she kept being overshadowed by the big three: Chloe, Ego, and Heidi. As for Molly, I don't know if the way they identified was a problem, it was gonna be obvious they were always going to get female characters or masculine-looking ones due to their appearance and they were also terrible comedians anyway.

As for the men, I thought Devon and James would also not make it this season. As long as Bowen and Marcello are in, we're good.
 
pretty average first episode back other than Jean Smart's lovely monologue, to be honest



the Brat and Real Housewives sketches were beyond cringe
 
The Brat sketch was cringe but Bowen's Charli impression was spot on! With all the mannerisms and catchphrases down to a tee, he's such a superstar on the show.

C'mon Troye now BUMP THAT!
 
They need to do the joke swap every episode instead of the finale. It's the greatest thing ever.

it absolutely was not hun :D he didn't even remotely capture her accent or mannerisms. he's very funny but he's not really a good impressionist.
 
It wasn't an impression. It was a CARICATURE, loosely based on herself :disco: BUMP THAT TRACK TRoye!

I’ve loved Nate since Chelsea Lately, he cracks me up. His Washington sketch is great. He should be on TV more.
