IKR. I’m still not sure why I paid it. It’s not a great seat. Behind the B stage.
They know that a lot of fans get whipped up by the hype, pre-sale codes, endless posts on Say Hey in a state of gay panic about it. It's carefully managed to make you do it.

I was thinking about seeing her at another date somewhere abroad but at the price I just paid, I’m not sure I can justify it.

I didn’t even have to enter the code!
Was it a VIP package?

I just looked at ticketmaster for Newcastle now and they seem to be available there without code for £330 each.

I think if I was planning it, I'd have held my nerve and only gone for a date in Europe, and made a mini break out of it.

Yeah, the Tension VIP. Only because I wanted floor seats. Sort of wish I had just gone for the cheaper ones now. At £120 I’d have had people going with me.

Yup, which is why it's a fucking con. Just looked and the A stage seats all about £450, so completely out of my league, seats around the second stage all have the first row blocked out and there's conveniently a load of empty space where they are BLATANTLY going to release "Production tickets" later down the line.

I've said it 40000 times before but I still fail to understand why no one has done anything about the fucking state of ticket buying in this country. It's absolutely appalling, charlatan behaviour from top to bottom.

Anyway, £189 a ticket for tickets roughly around the B Stage for me in Birmingham.

Presumably the old laminated lanyard, and access to the merch before everyone else? Are they bothering to throw a merch discount in?

Mandy's still in the queue for the O2. I don't hold out much hope for her.

I was thinking of going, but I don't like her enough to spend £200+.

I had Girls Aloud VIP, mainly cause it was the only tickets I could get, and they weren't THAT ridiculous (maybe £200ish?) and the location was fantastic, but other than that, it was a tote bag and a lanyard so MEH.

Having said that, the tote bag is fantastic- I use it all the time- and I camped it up with the GAY on the merch stand and he said I was the first person to ask him how he was all day so he gave me an extra one :disco:

Well nobody buys it for the bits anyway, do they? Presumably it's because it's the only way of getting properly good seats, and promoters think chucking in a bag of shit that cost about a fiver to produce justifies adding another £100+ to the price tag.

I don't really know as I don't ever do the VIP thing. I'd rather just not bother unless I can get good seats.

I did a VIP for Barenaked Ladies once. £70 instead of £45. Got a shit lanyard… and access to their sound check and got to meet the band for a proper chat and make personal song requests. Now that was a bargain.

I can understand VIP if you're actually getting something INTERESTING. Otherwise it's just another in the LIST OF CONS.

Society is shit enough without just pricing POOR people out of tickets and them going to the highest bidder.

Is she going on her own?

COME AND SIT NEXT TO ME, MAND :disco:
Yes she is, although I'll probably come to Birmingham with her. It's also the day after her birthday so we will probably make a weekend of it!

Mandy's in for Birmingham, block 16.

When I told her @Sheena got tickets, she said "oh let me check Birmingham, I can go for a drink with him" 🤦🏻‍♀️

That’s what I did for the ‘Celebration’ tour and went to see Madonna (standing) in Lisbon and it was far more palatable. I’m definitely not doing the UK dates for Kylie but will have a look at Europe (Ireland) for sure.

Gutted that I’ve basically been fleeced for a shit ticket. I will never even look at VIP again. AXS don’t even allow cancellations.

It’s quite ridiculous though, that they’ll allow you to put it up for resale through their site, but won’t exchange/refund directly. It’s not like it won’t sell out. They should be at least able to pick and choose which concerts can be returned based on demand.
