The Crown - Netflix Elizabeth II Drama

It’s HILARIOUSLY soapy this season, way more so than previously. Still loving it, but it’s ridiculous in a way it wasn’t before.

The Fagan episode was just LUDICROUS :D

Never a bad time to plug one of my absolute FAVE podcasts. You’re Wrong About is a show focusing on topics that have a popular narrative built around them and basically going through the facts. They have recently done a five part series on Princess Diana that I found enormously entertaining.

Around ep three is when you start to get into the true HOT MESS EXPRESS era of Lady Di. :disco: Starts around the point that she PUSHES HER AGING STEPMOTHER DOWN THE STAIRS. :D

Thank you for turning me on to this, I've TORN through the first episode in spite of the woman's constant marble mouth noises. :disco:

Poor Rain Legs.

I've just looked her up and apparently she was the daughter of Barbara Cartland?! I want a six season Netflix show about HER.

Diana In Her Own Words on Netflix is ESSENTIAL watching after finishing season 4. I was a bit tipsy and started crying at the end when they showed her brother's speech at the funeral :manson:

Also I can't believe the speech used in The Crown for the wedding by the Archbishop of Canterbury is from the real wedding. It sounds so fucking creepy and sinister :D

I know Charles is generally dreadful this season but like Ed I also greatly appreciated the IMPRESSIVELY CUNTY shade to FRINGE ANDY

I thought Diana was horrible :D that's my saintly image shattered

I'm glad we're not getting Kate and Meghan to be honest as they don't really bring any ZEST to the whole affair

I do wonder if they'll keep the same actress for next time. Diana in the nineties carried herself very differently — much like Penny from BB2.

not fucking ANDREW SCOTT! ugh!

he always plays the same character!

I think it's going to be hard to buy Diana as a victim this season knowing she could easily crush Buckingham Palace underfoot like Godzilla in Versace.

I'm worried it might be hard to hate on Charles as played by lovely Dominic West
