As long as it's down the Anna Bergendahl line of "country", then I'll actually be FAIRLY HAPPY, as they can seemingly cut it live...
 
Dare I assume this is a bit of something to appease those who were offended by Olly last year?

I'm intrigued, but not excited yet (based on literally nothing).
 
I was hoping for a nice FOLK song when we inevitably decided to go genre, but I'll settle for country. It needs to be proper country to the point of near gimmick, mind. Not just pop with a few hen party cowgirl hats

I suppose starting with GOOD VOCALISTS is a welcome change, and the country should go due well with our increasingly RIGHT WING world. We ain’t sending some gay grinding his way around a cottaging site again for QUITE SOME TIME.
 
I'm guessing they're gunning for the jury vote this year after a couple of years of QUESTIONABLE vocalist. We appear to have nothing to worry about in that department this year at least.

The song could still be generic and dull though.

That’s promising, I would be happier if I saw a Moa ‘Cazzi Opeia’ Carlebecker in there though.
 
The songwriter is giving me hope - I keep seeing people mention Only Teardrops alone but he does have something of ~pedigree, being one of the writers of El Diablo, Adrenalina, We Will Rave, Break A Broken Heart etc. Though, for all of those - there's also Sister but I'll conviniently place that to the back of my brain xx

Only just tuned in to radio 2 but I think he just said they’ll be in the studio at 8.30am
