No Clue But I Ranked It

I could do without the tacky 1-2-3 countdown. Apart from that it sounds promising-ish.

Something happening at 9:20 this morning on Scott Mills’s show. Probably a phone call from Jay Aston or something. :eyes:

Tuned in just to be affronted by Take That's 'Shine' which just makes me want to avoid Morrisons.

That's frustrating, but in fairness if this had been the actual song reveal and they'd just stuck it on the radio with no prior announcement when everyone's already gone to work, that would have been truly pathetic.

What was that teacher-esque "I need you all to be on your best behaviour on this school trip" type pep talk from the dreadful Scott Mills?

R Mae and Olly didn't flop because we didn't get behind them enough, they flopped because the BBC picked people who CAN'T SING LIVE  (also Olly had a PG-13 gay orgy)

That was the real reason I was furious. Apparently the succession of shit results was our fault and not at all down to the BBC’s insistence on choosing incompetent singers.

I was definitely getting ’advance damage control’ vibes from Scott’s whole energy in that section.

I think it was just a weak attempt to recreate his semi-viral speech from before the Sam Ryder reveal.

I feel like it's obvious something a bit more bland and jury-focused (that's been internally chosen) - if that's what it is - is likely to get a bit of fan backlash whatever happens, just because a bit of an expectation has been set from the last two years of something for the huns/Euroclub.

If What The Hell Just Happened is indeed the song then it's out in New Zealand.

Does it sound like that clip?
Yes the clip was from 0:20-0:40. There are lots of tempo changes throughout so just when you're getting into one bit it changes, which I'm not sure is helpful. Not very country. A bit like something from Six the musical if that's your bag.

I guess something like this could pay off if the vocals are good...

This means absolutely nothing from me but I thought it was excellent. I've no idea how it will fare with the public but I feel like the right vocals and staging it could do solid business with the juries. We already know they can belt so I'm fairly reassured on that front.

Also, I refuse to recognise any era of Moopy that doesn't appreciate the use of the phrase 'clutch my pearls' in a Eurovision song.

Oh I very much like that! I can see how the tempo changes might grate some though

The vocals are excellent! Song is a bit all over the place. Good though. :)
