Oh and I can see this being a total crossover moment.

It is SO much better than the Cowboy Casanova and Last Name.

My only concern is that she has got through the singles quite quickly this time, although I suspect they may end up reissuing Play On because it NEEDS that extra push.
 
It's the perfect Summer crossover single for her, I think. Despite the last single not doing much (compared to her previous singles anyway), the album is ticking over 1.5 million in the US, which isn't bad for only six months down the road.

I still think "I know you won't" could be MASSIVE, it is quite possibly her best song (although Jesus... and Mama's Song do come close for me). I'm glad the latter is the next single but it was inevitable considering they've just released the songs that went to iTunes before the album was out.
 
Do you know, I've always liked Cowboy Cassanova a lot but I never really played it very much. But this week I've been having a proper RENAISSANCE with it and I love it much more than ever before. It's just so relentlessly JOYOUS and FUN :disco:

I Know You Won't is PRIME for some sort of X Factor/Glee/pop culture rejuvenation and subsequent recharting everywhere. It's too good to be kept hidden from the general public as it is now.

Well that's nice! It's 100% the same old shit complete with latter-day Carrie whiny male harmonies but it is perfectly pleasant.

New album soon please, and one which bucks the trend of diminishing sales and quality THX

As far as I'm concerned she's one of the greatest live singers ever. I could probably count the amount of singers (in the present day) on one hand who could belt out songs like 'I Know You Won't' and 'How Great Thou Art' the way she does. She's phenomenal.
