Cher - Christmas (1 Viewer)

DJ on Graham Norton went down very well on Gogglebox.

The Rylan programme was all very nice until a demon child cover version of Believe at the end.

I'm not a massive Rylan fan, but I really loved that interview. I never knew she sang vocals on the original 'Christmas (baby please come home)' either.

I spent that Rylan interview biting my lip at my weird housemate just making strangely wrong statements about Cher throughout, with great authority.

“Of course she always wanted to be an actress anyway”, followed by:

Rylan: “Did you always want to act?”
Cher: “Not really”

Me commenting on Cher’s amazing outfits from the V&A and mentioning how tiny she was (referring to her small waist and slight frame)
Her: “Yes she’s actually very short, like Kylie”

*Googles Cher’s height* She’s 5’9”

:MerylPerplexed:

I might have been in a bit of a grumpy mood but found Rylan a bit irritating with his interruptions during an anecdote by basically repeating the start of the story “what? Go back to the start”.

I've played this a couple of times I'll be honest, I kinda enjoyed it.

My mother was thrilled to receive it as a birthday gift.

#42 in the midweeks as well. Thank god for Spotify adding it to their main playlist, but I’ll take it!

Kelly Clarkson says that DJPACS is the greatest Christmas song to come out since AIWFCIY. 🤩

Do you agree?

one of my fave things about this promo round in which other popstars like Jessie Ware and Kelly Clarkson interview Cher is her absolute lack of interest in THEIR careers :D not a question posed! icon stays iconing!

You can tell how annoyed Cher is by the fact she hasn't been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

I did notice this on the Jessie Ware podcast when Jessie kept going on about MY SHOW IN LA! MY SHOW IN LA NEXT WEEK!! Cher was not biting :D

she's doing great. hopefully it can sneak top 35 or so by christmas.

It seems to have settled around #60 on Spotify, but as it was only put on the main playlist last Sunday(?) it missed Friday/Saturday last week of strong streams, hence it making the midweeks a bit later. So with a full week she should slide into the top 40 this week.

Top 40 for the SINGAL and top 10 again for the ALBAM xmas week would be ideal

She has Strictly final Saturday, and Royal Variety sunday.

Not sure if she has pre-recorded BBC breakfast but the One show is off air until NY.

#26 in the first midweek flashes.
Is that the same one she was #42 in last week, or was that the first 'proper' midweek?

I'd be surprised if she doesn't hit top 40 this week, but wonder if she may even improve on that the week after Christmas, as the three biggest days last year were 23, 24 and 25th December, which will all be in the chart the following week. Obviously that's only three days of the week, but 26 December wasn't bad for streams either. And those three days are likely to be massive - far more than the remaining days of the chart week.

Omg she's gonna be Christmas no.1.

And if certain unnamed folk who play Christmas songs AFTER Christmas Day keep playing she'll be no.1 until June.
