I'm waiting to see what the next two heats bring, but I'd be totally fine with a Dotter win and I think she'd be a safe pair of hands for a good finish. But a Eurovision winner against genuinely striking acts like The Roop, Dadi Freyr and potentially Little Big I just don't see.

That's fine though! Sweden don't need to win every year.
 
They have won TWICE in the past decade and at times been very overrated (2016-2018 especially) so I’d be more than happy for them not to win for another five/ten years or so.

The “we used to be shit but now we’re not” group including the likes of France, Switzerland, Belgium, Cyprus etc are at the top of my list to get a win. Not forgetting some first timers, particularly Iceland.

This is Sweden we’re talking about, they put so much into it and do such an amazing job of hosting that it doesn’t matter how often since they last won. They ARE Eurovision.

The two wins they did get were definitely deserved, but post Heroes some of the results are quite STRIKING. There’s no way DANCE YOU OFF deserved to get anywhere near the top ten, never mind nearly winning the jury vote!

This is the two reasons I want a Sweden win. Christer et al deserves this for how they’ve transformed Melodifestivalen (and ESC). More than anything, Ireland needs to be erased from our history books.

yeah this says pretty much everything I feel too. I surprised myself by thinking Italy should get a win soon, I thought it would’ve happened by now, they’ve had a pretty stellar track record.

and I’d actually love Malta to win :D
 
The studio version is TERRIFIC. I noticed it's in a higher key to the perf though, how often does that sort of thing happen?

Very rarely. I remember they brought "Party Voice" down a little for the performance in the finals because Jessica has a bad cold but that's the only and most recent case I can recall.
 
Dotter said in an interview that she was originally going to perform it in a higher key but that they brought it down so that she had more breathing room to focus on other parts of the performance.
