I hate "Firework"

"Dark Horse", "Roar", "Teenage Dream" are her three best moments and that's THAT.
 
"365", "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" and "The One That Got a Way" are the next best three. OK?
 
And I quite like Prism. "Tsunami" is an underrated deep cut.

That’s it. It’s the only song of hers I’ve ever really liked, and I know it makes me very fucking weird because I doubt anyone considers it a classic.

That's it for me. Otherwise the same. Can't bear her, or her voice, or the fact that she's incredibly popular and successful because it makes NO sense.

Her voice is just a horrible noise to me. I clearly don't hear what a lot of other people hear.
 
I’m not her biggest fan, but I struggle to think of a pop star whose success is MORE explicible than Katy Perry. :D

She’s practically the most mainstream artist who ever existed.

And this is what it all boils down to. You can have the best producers known to man but if your voice is trash... I mean she is a SINGER :D
 
Katy is a weird one for me, sometimes I feel she's not objectively a good singer and it's baffling how she often chooses songs that are clearly out of her range but when she nails it, she does it very well. Out of her singles, Dark Horse, Harleys in Hawaii, Chained To The Rhythm, Bon Appetit; she sounds good and feels like it but then she goes and tries Firework and Roar where she struggles a bit.
 
She can’t really sing, but come on - there’s a good dozen bangers in there and she certainly sells the SHIT out of her songs.

Never Really Over, California Girls, Chained to the Rhythm and the magnifico Bon Appletits for me currently :disco:
