I never warmed to the Daniel Craig Bonds. I mean I think they are objectively well made (well, at least two of there are) but I could never get on board their relentless grimness.

Of course a lot of that might also be hype aversion since I was a teen during the Brosnan years and all the reviews of Craig's Bond delighted in kicking Bronsnan.

That’s the way I feel about The Dark Knight trilogy vs Tim Burton.

Searching online for a hotel, booking one, and then having adverts for a week for hotels in that area. I DID IT THANKS THIS IS POINTLESS
Not hotels, but I've been getting this a lot with stuff I've been looking up for moving - if I've looked something up I'm usually going to try and get it sorted out ASAP, so don't need to see ads for similar things for weeks afterwards.

I would love to not procrastinate everything :D

Mr L occasionally refers to himself as Dad. He probably does it more often when I'm not around as he knows I think it's dreadful.

Although if it makes me a stepmother, perhaps I'll take it.

Two close friends refer to their dog as their child, always said in total seriousness, it drives me mad, especially because said dog is obnoxious.

I wonder if it’s weird that you said Helen Adams and I immediately knew who it was, despite her having a fairly common name and also being a BB contestant 20 years ago

Late for work today because school children bum-rushed the bus and filled it up. They were not late for school and were only travelling two stops which is less than a 10 min walk away.

Can we SCRAP the free bus fares for under-16s? Or scrap them for bus routes less than 15 minutes away from a school? Utter cunts, all of them.

Free bus fares for under 16s? Not around these parts. 5 and under only.

I think it is free bus travel until you are 21 in Scotland. We don’t have a bus service where we live as we are a couple of miles outside town so I drive my son to school but he does have a free bus pass for when he wants to go with his friends to any of our neighbouring cities.

It’s actually free in London for all Under-18s, but over 10 they need a Zip Oyster card, which can be revoked if they mis-behave. It’s been that way for a while and I understand the safety aspect of it, but it just results in the lazy buggers getting the bus to easily walkable distances.

I may have said before that I don’t like Instagram posts that are just text, what’s the point of Instagram? But what I REALLY hate is when the text post is actually a VIDEO and before you get to the end it finishes and you age to scroll back up

I just dislike Instagram. I don’t see the point of it and can’t understand why it’s so popular. It barely does anything unique compared to other platforms and is totally limited. It should only really be used for models, photographers and make-up artists. For an every-day personal social media profile though, I don’t get it.

Instagram can be great. It just depends on what you're using it for, and who you're following.

Admittedly, this is fine IN THEORY, but when in practice it's about 50% ads I have to admit defeat.

That’s the weird thing, the algorithm is bizarre - I mostly only follow people I know and a couple of hot people off tiktok, but the suggestions are just a weird tutti frutti of streams that I never searched for.

I’m on the intersection of Drag race (ok I understand that but it’s almost always spoilers), anxiety Insta, now autism Insta, dreadful extrovert instas, dreadful people talking at length and publicly about being an introvert Insta, and Nigerian feminist Insta

I do have to get this out of my brain but I just had a woman doing a bizarre makeup art thing on her face while totally unrelated text captions appeared - you shouldn’t judge the validity of other peoples’ medical conditions because you don’t know, because she has some extreme sensitivity to cold that brings her out in hives and people dismissed her when she explained this as “I’m allergic to snow”

Wtf is anyone on about anymore?

The eternal game of ringing insurance companies to ask why your policy has increased by 25% on renewal when you've made no claims, only for them to then match last years price. FUCKING POINTLESS.

People saving tables in busy cafes by putting something down (this is fine) but not if you’re going to disappear for ages.

Two seats in the study area have been empty apart from study books for 45 minutes since I got here, selfish cunts

Btw I know I post a lot in here so I’m going to try and post in the love thread every time too, for balance

My birthday app giving me advice on what to do on a birthday. It just said:
“Put those thoughts into a call, text or message ;) “

Maybe it’s the wink that’s making it worse

Also “Young Folks” by Peter, Bjorn and John. Isn’t it just using that old stereotypical ME SO CHINESEY thing as their main hook? I can’t not hear it
