The American Song Contest 2022 - SWEEPSTAKE!

I want everyone to know this: I have no moral issues at all with taking bribes to switch states and territories

11. Connecticut

Rich snobs and poverty. This is the state with the biggest wealth disparity (I think, I'm not fact checking myself at all). Some of my family lives there and its kind of boring but close to New York. Our first New England state. I feel neutrally towards it

Can I have the highest remaining number please
45. Maine

55. Pennsylvania

I guess it’s one of the better ones. I like Philadelphia, but like the rest of it seems just ok? Taylor swift is from here. I’m struggling to expand on Pennsylvania

I don't need to do anything do I? Otherwise that's (US)A OK with me.

24 please
24. Nebraska

The most interesting thing I can think of about Nebraska is that Alaska Thunderfuck's protege in the makeover episode became Nebraska Thunderfuck and has stuck with drag

Pennsylvania is the home of PHILLY SOUL and so was one of the ones I wanted

Not that I expect someone like Jill Scott to pop up and represent them in this competition….

I really want to visit New Orleans at some point but for me it would be a bit like going to Cuba - if I go I don’t want to see the tourist traps I want to see the real place/culture/music/people and so until it’s safe to do so maybe I should wait

*waits forever*

Safe related to getting Covid or related to getting murdered? Because neither is a guarantee

Oh not covid just the crime rate etc

I believe it had turned into a real destination and they had some good infrastructure in place until Katrina happened and it set things back. It looks like it’s come a long way since then and all credit to the city given the corruption on every level but crime still a major issue for them. Such a shame for such a vibrant city

I totally get that, but most crime (in America, outside of certain cities that you’re unlikely to visit) is constrained to certain neighborhoods and between people who know each other. Atlanta is going through a massive spike in crime right now but I dont feel unsafe being here

You could say that about any city - London has been going through the same thing. Never stopped me living there.

Just going by what many of my American friends say. Anyway I'd quite like to visit Atlanta one day too.

Yeah that’s what I meant. I just don’t know enough about crime in London to generalize outside America. You should visit Atlanta though; there’s a lot to do
