I second Lou's comment, the whole album gives mid-00's guitar pop vibe and I'm here for it, who cares if it lacks more Expresso-type bops. And YES, I can see Juno being a single too.
 
Espresso is pretty much still the best song on the album. Bed Chem is the only thing potentially better.
 
both are just brilliant. I can't really say which I prefer. Espresso is that super slick pop song that has everyone gagged. Please is more subtle, maybe more joyous, shows off a bit more personality. she's a woman of DUALITY!

Espresso is a very well-realised pop song but it feels a bit off the shelf, and it's Please, Please, Please that sounds much more like her but in a way that firmly entitles her to a place in the upper echelons of pop in 2024.
 
Nah. PPP is very good itself, but Espresso is an absolute text book pop behemoth.
 
Much like most of the album, I find PPP a little too fluffy. Generally pleasant but has less memorable hooks than Espresso. Might need more listens.

Taste also clear #1 but PPP is #6 without a reset, so if it is reset on Friday it could be very close.
 
Right now I'm firmly

Taste > Please, Please, Please > Espresso

...but when the dust settles I could see my favourite being any one of those. They're all terrific
 
Current highlights:

'Good Graces' which reminds me of all my favourite bits of the last Troye Sivan album with the added bonus of being performed by a SING-ER.

Sabrina in her full California folk drag for 'Coincidences'. Let's hope Joni doesn't LAWYER UP.

'Juno' which is so breezy, so bright, and so re-listenable it almost makes 'Espresso' feel DOUR.

And the talky bit in 'Lie To Girls'.

I think Espresso is a bop but outside of that her music is bland as shit. I've tried with the other songs a few times and still can't remember a single thing about them.

To be fair to OutSynk, I gave her album a listen and Espresso stood out as the only semi bop. The rest mostly verged on nicey nice bland shit. It has absolutely no edge. It might be cute for the well behaved girlies, but I’m not one of those.

“Dumb and Poetic” is her “I’m with You”. Wouldn’t mind it being a single with a moody video and maybe a male country feature.
