Jay Slater DEAD (1 Viewer)

If you have any self-respect, and if you do not want to feel like a mug when the truth comes out - and it will - do the right thing and reserve judgement.

So many people, particularly older and more vulnerable (trusting), are scammed on a daily basis by unscrupulous thieves who con people into giving them their bank details, or even large amounts of cash. I could set a scam like that up so easily, and I would probably have a good 'success rate'; but I am not that way inclined, brought up differently in another era. The point is, gullibility is exploited at every opportunity.

There are so many theories on the disappearance of this lad that the truth is well and truly buried under blankets of garbage. Comments such as 'it seems plausible', 'it must be true', only express the reader's lack of knowledge and judgement; but it gives those posting such rubbish a feeling of empowerment.

Over the past 60+ years, I have witnessed a sad decline - older people who were brought up to trust others are being abused, while many younger people have had their brains sucked out by Social Media and MPA (Mobile Phone Addiction) - intelligence and analytical abilities are precious commodities, integrity and honesty are priceless.

I will only publish what I know to be true/fact, anything else belongs in the bin.

Jay Slater was convicted in 2023, along with a group of other youths, of attacking Tom Hilton, who was hit with a machete. There was a 'beef' between them but it was never disclosed in court exactly what that was.

Jay Slater received an 18 month community order, 25 rehabilitation activity days, 150 hours unpaid work

Tom Hilton also has a criminal record.

'Hilton eventually pleaded guilty to attempted burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
Hilton, who has 14 convictions for 28 offences, was jailed for 14 months, disqualified from driving for 25 months and must sit an extended re-test if he wants his licence back.
The court also heard that on committing these offences on February 12, Hilton was in breach of two community orders which had been imposed on him, one just three days earlier and one in November 2021 which was a two-year order.'

So if/when you read a comment stating that 'Slater was a bad 'un', there is more to it than a simple accusation. There was a group of up to 100 teenagers who congregated around the disused Paper Mill in Rishton, Lancashire. Alcohol and drugs were consumed at the illegal gatherings.

Set against the historical background, it has been easy for conspiracy theorists to conjure up numerous stories of what has happened in Tenerife, including accusations of Lucy Mae Law being involved with drug gangs there, and Jay Slater being drawn into that murky world in some way.
However, no-one offers credible evidence to support those accusations, but they have still gone viral on 'unsocial media'.

Whatever has happened, we will know when the Police have concluded their enquiries; but even then they might only be able to piece together certain elements.

Too many people want 'instant gratification', and will create their own narrative to fit what few facts are available.
It is a similar situation to that of Nicola Bulley, who lost her life in the River Wyre; that was a disgusting and disrespectful state of affairs.

Social Media is often far from social; more reminiscent of witch hunts and lynch mobs.

Let us all just wait and see.

The Peter Kay Court Injunction energy of this post though

Brian May and Freddie Mercury summed it up so poignantly.
Even just reading the words brings a tear to my eyes.
What have I left for my children, grandchildren, and great grandchild any day now.

Just look at all those hungry mouths we have to feed
Take a look at all the suffering we breed
So many lonely faces scattered all around
Searching for what they need

Is this the world we created?
What did we do it for?
Is this the world we invaded
Against the law?
So it seems in the end
Is this what we're all living for today?
The world that we created

You know that every day a helpless child is born
Who needs some loving care inside a happy home
Somewhere, a wealthy man is sitting on his throne
Waiting for life to go by

Oh-oh, is this the world we created?
We made it on our own
Is this the world we devasted, right to the bone?
If there's a God in the sky, looking down
What can he think of what we've done
To the world that He created?

Well, this thread has well and truly shat the bed. Let me know when they find his dehydrated remains.

Gran, what's your plan, and does it involve Chatgpt?
Wind your neck in Giraffe. My plan is to continue as my Gran taught me how, giving love and care to as many people as possible, starting with my children, grandchildren, great grandchild any day now. Chatgpt is a non-starter, I went to school and learned how to read and write without any help from what I call Technoshit.
I dare to walk amongst the internet madheads because I feel for them, rather than feel afraid of them.
Chatgpt, thanks for making me laugh out loud :)

Great grandchild! Why are you on gay chat lounges talking about missing teenagers?

This whole thing is fucking wild.

I don’t know if anyone remembers that awful Netflix drama ‘White Lines’ but it’s kinda giving me that

Evil? You would shit your pants in an instant if you came face to face with REAL evil.

No-one (NO-ONE!) is defending a lad that got involved in a machete attack... like... at all. But the weird way some people (only one or two, though I'm sure you can work out who you are) seem to be celebrating a teenage boy probably dying from dehydration in the middle of nowhere is sick as fuck.

And then people are speculating in here just as much as the Facebook mums are. But then going straight on to complaining about the Facebook mums doing the same thing. It's kinda fascinating how that happens and people don't even see themselves doing it.

Guys do you think I should send my Labrador to find him xoxox

I mean I think a lot of it is just people making fun at how absurd it is. We’re not 6 months removed from the world collectively losing its mind because a princess posted a fake picture because she had cancer.

These Facebook mums have spent more time worrying about this random boy than I’m sure they’ve given any thought to a single Palestinian child since October 7.

If you just accept that humans are generally WEIRD it’s a lot easier to wrap your head around these things.

I don't think we're criticising the Facebook brigade for speculating as such. Ghoulish curiosity is a common human trait.

We're mostly giggling at them for their critical thinking skills. Nobody on Moopy has suggested hosting fake music festivals to lure him away from aggressive cacti.

His mum has updated the gofundme with this today:

Hi everyone,

This is Debbie again.

First, I would like to thank everyone for your support, kind messages, and good wishes. It’s difficult to wrap our heads around what is happening right now, but we are not losing hope that we will find Jay and return home together.

We are currently working with GoFundMe to withdraw part of the funds, which are being safely held. I wanted to share that these funds will be used to support the mountain rescue teams who are tirelessly searching for Jay. Additionally, since our stay in Tenerife needs to be extended, we will also use the funds to cover accommodation and food expenses. I'm surrounded by wonderful people who are by my side, but far from their loved ones, so we'll also be using part of these funds to fly them to Tenerife so we can support each other during these dark times.

Thank you again for all your donations and support, this means the world to us.
